BING CROSBY, one of the most popular entertainers of the mid-1900's, hosted a "Clambake" Pro-Am Golf Tournament in Monterey every January. The event was more popular for its celebrity-studded guest list than it was for the golf professionals who attended and the main focus was more on fun than on golf, which can be seen in these cartoons Gus Arriola provided in the programs published each year.

GordoComics is very grateful to NAT GERTLER, of the terrific PEANUTS blog, aaugh.com, who provided these cartoons.
